WASHINGTON — The marketing campaign of South Carolina Democrat Jaime Harrison mentioned Sunday it had raised a colossal $57 million prior to now three months, a record-breaking sum aimed toward unseating Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham.
The spectacular $57 million Harrison raised from July via September shatters the earlier document of $38.1 million then-Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke raised within the third quarter of 2018.
The single-quarter haul brings Harrison’s marketing campaign whole to $86 million this cycle.
And whereas Sen. Graham has not but launched his third-quarter fundraising he mentioned in a pair of interviews final month on Fox News that he was “being killed financially.”
“I’m being killed financially. This cash is as a result of they hate my guts,” Graham mentioned throughout an interview on “Fox & Friends” on Sept. 24. Later that night he instructed Fox host Sean Hannity that he wanted monetary assist along with his Senate race.

Graham, considered one of Trump’s closest allies in Congress, is going through probably the most aggressive reelection marketing campaign of his political profession as he fights for a fourth time period.
Graham was final re-elected to the Senate in 2014.
